At Comdex Fall 2000, RegiSoft is demonstrating a premier technology that facilitates the redemption of electronic coupons stored on shoppers' Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) and cell phones for immediate registration into the vendor database. RegiSoft, developers of the World Trade Server(TM), an Internet-based application that distributes, redeems and authenticates electronic coupons and tickets, introduced a wireless redemption system that uses the conventional barcode scanner.
Upon receiving e-Coupons, shoppers bring them into stores on PDAs or cell phones appearing in the barcode format. This new twist on the use of a barcode scanner allows vendors to integrate RegiSoft's wireless e-Coupons without having to install any additional equipment. Vendors receive seamless integration with their existing barcode scanner system, while adding the features of real-time information of coupon use to offer cross-sell and upsell incentives.
"Our e-Coupon system is already positioned as complementary to existing online and offline coupon systems," commented Gady Shlasky, RegiSoft's President and CEO, "given its interoperability with all Internet and cellular technologies. This recent innovation makes it easier for retailers to come aboard as the majority have barcode scanning infrastructure already in place."
RegiSoft is exhibiting at Comdex Fall 2000, Booth #L671 in the Las Vegas Convention Center and invites visitors to see the barcode scanner demonstration of e-Coupon redemption. Last year, the company's flagship product, the World Trade Server(TM), received Best of Show finalists at Comdex Fall '99.
