Digital Paths' Award-Winning DPWeb Application to be Bundled With Palm Mobile Internet Kit

Digital Paths Monday announced that its award-winning browser application, DPWeb, is being bundled in the Palm(TM) Mobile Internet Kit.

Digital Paths' DPWeb browser, first released in December 1999, leverages Web clipping technology introduced by Palm Inc. with the Palm VII handheld computer.

By providing Netscape-like browsing capabilities, cookie and SSL support, DPWeb has quickly become one of the most popular Web clipping applications for Palm Powered(TM) handhelds, allowing users to quickly and efficiently access valuable information wirelessly without the burden of graphics and undesired information.

"Digital Paths is proud to join Palm in launching the Mobile Internet Kit and to further extend the capabilities of DPWeb throughout the Palm Economy," said Kia Shirali, president and CEO for Digital Paths. "An important part of our product strategy is to empower Palm Powered handheld users to freely browse and access all the World Wide Web has to offer."

"Customers are looking for multiple ways to access important Internet information from their handhelds," said Byron Connell, vice president consumer markets group, Palm. "Applications like DPWeb provide innovative choices for accessing Web content from Palm handhelds."

As part of the Palm Mobile Internet Kit, DPWeb provides unrestricted access to any site with one application. DPWeb transforms Web content for handheld computers in a simple, user-friendly text format.

The Palm Mobile Internet Kit enables Palm handheld computer users to connect wirelessly to the Internet using a data-enabled mobile phone. Delivered on CD-ROM, the Palm Mobile Internet Kit is an easy-to-install, affordable software solution for any Palm handheld supporting the Palm OS(R) 3.5 platform.
