Gamers Go Wireless

NetPace and TotallyTrivia.com Partner to Broaden the Scope for the Wireless Entertainment Market

NetPace, Inc. announces a strategic alliance with TotallyTrivia.com that will partner the two companies in the creation of wireless products and solutions for the online entertainment market.

With this partnership, TotallyTrivia.com will provide their domain expertise in the online gaming industry while NetPace will utilize their proprietary wireless framework to rapidly develop and deploy games for a variety of mobile devices. NetPace is responsible for the design and deployment of the TotallyTrivia.com website making this an ideal company to align with, demonstrating their capacity to successfully take a company from the wired Web to the wireless Web.

According to Datamonitor, mobile phones will be the next platform to emerge for playing games; predicting 200 million people in Western Europe and the U.S. will be playing Internet games via mobile phones by 2005 -- this represents 4 out of 5 mobile users.

A number of online gaming sites currently exist on the Web, some possessing millions of registered users. Wireless-enabling sites such as TotallyTrivia.com brings online games to cellular phones and PDA's, while providing an additional channel for them to acquire new customers.

"This concept will capture both the competitive spirit and the desire for monetary gain, seen so amply demonstrated by today's TV gameshows. The real-time excitement with the ability to play anytime, anywhere, should create a compelling energy and momentum for this new concept," says Sean Darragh, CEO, TotallyTrivia.com.

Leveraging their experience with TotallyTrivia.com enables NetPace to rapidly deploy online wireless games for companies such as www.uproar.com, www.pogo.com, www.prizegames.com, and www.buzztime.com, etc.

"Our goal with TotallyTrivia.com is to take online gaming to the next level by developing a technology that keeps players in-sync and facilitates online head-to-head contests. This partnership provides similar contests via the wireless Web for players within the industry," says Cedric Fernandes, CIO, NetPace Inc.
