IntraNet Solutions, Ubiquio Form Strategic Alliance to Deliver Business Content to Handheld Devices

Ubiquio to Integrate IntraNet Solutions' Xpedio and Outside In Server for Handheld Devices

IntraNet Solutions(R), Inc. (Nasdaq:INRS), a leading provider of Web content management solutions, announced today that it has formed a strategic alliance with Ubiquio(TM) Corporation, the first handheld service provider (HSP), to deliver and manage business content on handheld computing devices in the United States.

With the agreement, Ubiquio will integrate IntraNet Solutions' Xpedio Content Management system and Outside In(R) Server into its HSP architecture. Xpedio will enable Ubiquio's business customers to deliver content, such as news and sales collateral, to employees using Palm and Pocket PC organizers. In addition, IntraNet Solutions' Outside In Server will allow mobile customers to view more than 225 file formats created in standard business applications on their handhelds without launching the native application. The integrated product will be available in the second quarter of 2001.

"Ubiquio aggregates a proprietary combination of technologies and services to meet the growing demands of mobile users for access to corporate data and support," said Ubiquio founder and chief executive officer Charles Lukaszewski. "To that end, Ubiquio partners with best-of-class technology providers in a wide variety of categories. As a dominant supplier of business content management solutions, IntraNet Solutions is a natural choice for realizing our product vision. We are excited about the flexibility and features Xpedio provides our customers."

"Our partnership with Ubiquio expands our reach into the rapidly growing mobile and wireless market," said Dan Ryan, vice president of marketing and business development for IntraNet Solutions. "Gartner forecasts that mobile phones and handheld computers will outnumber notebook and desktop machines by more than four-to-one by 2005, and they predict that much of that growth will be among business users. Our Web content management solutions, designed for business-to-business customers, provide those mobile professionals with on-the-go access to mission-critical business information."

Xpedio Features

Xpedio enables customers to rapidly deploy business Web sites and automates the process of maintaining timely, accurate information on these sites. Business content from sources including desktop applications, business applications and templates is managed and published in Web-based formats such as HTML, XML, PDF and WML. Business personalization and integration with corporate security models ensures that users access only the information they are entitled to see.

Outside In Server Features

Outside In Server (www.outsideinserver.com) provides instant browser access to information created in standard business documents. Its server-side, automatic translation of business documents into HTML or XML requires no manual intervention, client plug-ins or applets. And, as an NT-based Web server plug-in, it integrates seamlessly into existing infrastructures.
