IntraNet Solutions(R), Inc. (Nasdaq:INRS), a leading provider of Web content management solutions, today announced an agreement with Wireless Ronin Technologies, a leading provider of tools enabling Internet access through wireless devices, to include its Quick View Plus(R) (QVP) viewing technology on the new freedomPORT advanced wireless portal device. With IntraNet Solutions' Quick View Plus technology, Wireless Ronin's freedomPORT users can view more than 70 file formats created in standard business applications on their handheld devices without having access to the native application.
The freedomPORT wireless portal device, which combines the size and features of a personal digital assistant (PDA) with the power of a PC, enables users to fully access the Internet via cellular connections to phones and service providers. To access the Internet, users simply plug freedomPORT into their cell phones - freedomPORT acts as the browser while the cell phone provides the dial-up to the Internet. IntraNet Solutions' Quick View Plus for Windows CE provides freedomPORT's mobile users with instant access to and high-fidelity viewing of standard business content, whether it arrives as an email attachment, through a download from the Internet or through desktop computer synchronization. freedomPORT will be available in early 2001.
