Leading Property Management Company to Deploy NearSpace's Wireless Information Services

NearSpace, Inc., the leading provider of mobile information services for the built environment, today announced that Basin Street Properties, formerly G&W Management Company and the largest developer and manager of commercial and mixed-use properties in Marin, Sonoma and Napa counties, will deploy NearSpace services at its Redwood Business Park, which houses Cisco, Nokia and Alcatel.

NearSpace will begin by delivering facilities, tenant and leasing information to Basin Street property managers via handheld devices such as those offered by Palm and Handspring. In the second phase of the pilot program, NearSpace will deliver resource, employee and facilities information to Basin Street's tenants and visitors.

NearSpace offers the unique benefit of being able to assemble disparate types of venue data and display it on handheld devices via a flexible, intuitive, graphical interface that incorporates the maps and floor plans of the facility itself. NearSpace then takes this information and delivers it to the wireless handheld devices that people are already carrying. The Company additionally provides venue owners with tools for keeping such information fresh and current.

"To be technologically savvy is critical, especially because we work with some of the major players in the telecom industry. We need to operate at the speed of their business and NearSpace allows us to do so by providing useful and up-to-date location and resource information for our client's facilities," said Matt White, president of Basin Street Properties.

"Basin Street Properties is attracting a growing number of high-tech companies to the North Bay by developing productive, adaptable facilities. We expect our services will provide Basin Street with an additional competitive advantage for their booming commercial leasing business," said NearSpace's CEO Creighton Hoke.
