Logitech to Unveil Bluetooth Prototypes at Comdex Fall 2000

Logitech (NASDAQ: LOGIY) (Switzerland: LOGN, LOGZ) will unveil a number of desktop peripheral prototypes featuring Bluetooth(TM) compatibility during this week's Fall Comdex Exposition in Las Vegas, Nevada. In addition, the Company will discuss overall product strategy as it broadens its presence in the wireless world with the inclusion of Bluetooth in its portfolio of wireless technologies and solutions.

An established leader in cordless peripherals for the desktop, Logitech has delivered on its promise made last June in Montreux, Switzerland, during Motorola's European launch of its DigitalDNA(TM) campaign, to debut operational Bluetooth prototypes by this date. The Comdex display is proof that Logitech is continuing and strengthening its commitment to wireless freedom on the desktop and beyond.

At the Montreux event, Logitech announced it was working with Motorola to design peripherals and receivers that comply with the Bluetooth standards. At that time, Logitech announced plans to supplement its popular cordless product offerings by adding Bluetooth connectivity and compatibility.

Logitech is an active participant in the Bluetooth Special Interest Group. Motorola is one of nine promoter companies driving worldwide adoption of this standard. The "Bluetooth SIG" includes promoter companies 3Com, Ericsson, IBM, Intel, Lucent, Microsoft, Motorola, Nokia and Toshiba, as well as more than 2,000 adopter companies.

"Since Logitech first 'cut the cord' with the introduction of MouseMan(R) Cordless in 1992, the Company has been committed to enhancing the desktop with cordless freedom and flexibility," said Wolfgang Hausen, senior vice president and general manager of Logitech's Control Devices Division. "To date, the company has sold more than ten million cordless products based on our time-tested 'Palomar' technology."
