OmniSky Wireless Internet Service Available For the First Time in Color - on the HP Jornada 540 Series Pocket PC

OmniSky Availability on Pocket PC Platform Furthers Multi-platform Strategy

OmniSky Corporation, (Nasdaq:OMNY), the award-winning provider of branded wireless Internet and e-mail services for users of handheld devices, today announced that the OmniSky service is now available for the HP Jornada 540 Series Pocket PC. The OmniSky service for the HP Jornada supports OmniSky's multi-platform strategy -- providing an e-mail and Internet solution on popular handheld devices that can take advantage of the rich user experience offered by the OmniSky service.

When a customer purchases the HP Jornada Pocket PC wireless bundle, they receive the modem and OmniSky CD directly from HP. Users install the OmniSky software, contact OmniSky to activate the service and are up and running in minutes. The Novatel Minstrel 540 wireless modem is $349 and the OmniSky service is $39.95 per month for unlimited access across the United States. OmniSky also supports Palm OS devices such as the Palm V and Palm Vx and the Handspring Visor Platinum and Visor Prism and has announced plans to offer service for the Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC. The OmniSky service for the Jornada 540 Series Pocket PC uses the Cellular Digital Packet Data (CDPD) network.
