PacketVideo to Demonstrate Wireless Multimedia Solutions With Partners At COMDEX

PacketVideo will demonstrate its wireless media capabilities at the following partner booths at COMDEX Fall 2000 in Las Vegas from November 13-17:

Casio, Inc. (Las Vegas Convention Center, North Hall, Booth No. L6326, Slot No. D2)

Casio and PacketVideo will demonstrate wireless multimedia streamed at 64Kbps running PacketVideo's PVPlayer(TM) MPEG-4 compliant decoding software on Casio's CASSIOPEIA E-115 Pocket PC.

Novatel Wireless (Las Vegas Convention Center, Booth No. L3837)

Novatel Wireless and PacketVideo will demonstrate the streaming of full motion video over a Compaq iPAQ personal digital assistant with Novatel Wireless' Merlin Wireless PC Card connected to Metricom's Ricochet high-speed wireless network.

Phillips (Las Vegas Convention Center, North Hall, Booth No. L2549)

Philips and PacketVideo will demonstrate the interoperability of their respective MPEG-4 technologies to show multimedia streaming to wireless consumer devices. The demonstration features the Philips MP4Net WebCine encoder, which produces MPEG-4 files that are transported on a wireless IP network. The MPEG-4 bitstream will simultaneously be decoded and displayed by PacketVideo's wireless, error-resilient decoding software, PVPlayer, on a Windows CE personal digital assistant (PDA).

Texas Instruments (Las Vegas Convention Center, North Hall, Booth No. L1629)

PacketVideo will demonstrate its PVPlayer decoding software and PVAuthor(TM) encoding software running full motion video over TI's next generation Open Multimedia Application Platform (OMAP), enabled by TI's leading programmable DSP-based technology.

Visualize Video (Las Vegas Convention Center, South Hall, Intel Booth No. 6135, Kiosk No. 56)

Visualize Video and PacketVideo will jointly demonstrate wireless video messaging. Through this demonstration, the companies will show how a user with a PC webcam can create a video message and deliver it wirelessly to a SmartPhone, personal digital assistant, or other mobile device.
