Price.com Offers Shopping Comparisons Via WAP-Enabled Cell Phones

Shoppers Granted Access to Current Pricing of Popular Computer and Electronic Products

Price.com, a leading online shopping and price comparison site, Thursday announced that all of its shopping sites are cell phone accessible using WAP technology.

By dialing Price.com's URL from a WAP-enabled PDA or phone, a shopper can get pricing information from the country's top retailers, including Buy.com and Computers4Sure.com. All the products on the Price.com network of sites can be searched, including computer, games/ entertainment, Macintosh or consumer electronics.

"We are pleased to offer this new service to our shoppers and vendors," said Larry O'Connor, president and chairman of Price.com. "WAP enabling is one of the key technologies driving online shopping as we move into the next generation of the Internet."

Price.com is accessible for WAP enabled phones at wap.price.com. Shoppers can search for pricing by product name, key word or part number. Entering a search term automatically prompts the "Look Up" option to view pricing information. A list of products found by the search term are displayed, showing the lowest price available from Price.com vendors.
