Socket Demonstrates First Bluetooth Applications for Windows Powered Pocket PCs at COMDEX

Socket's CompactFlash Personal Network Card enables wireless short-range messaging and printing

At the COMDEX/Fall 2000 trade show in Las Vegas, Socket Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:SCKT)(PSE:SOK) demonstrated the first Bluetooth applications to work with Windows Powered Pocket PCs from Casio, Compaq and Hewlett Packard. Socket's Bluetooth Personal Network Card plugs into the CompactFlash slots of the popular handheld devices and uses Bluetooth wireless technology to exchange data cordlessly at ranges of up to 30 feet. Socket will conduct wireless messaging and printing demonstrations throughout the week at Booth No. 105 in the Microsoft Partner Pavilion in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
