Superior Federal Bank Partners With Senscom Inc. to Integrate Wireless Banking

Superior Federal Bank, wholly owned subsidiary of Superior Financial Corp., (Nasdaq:SUFI) has partnered with technology provider SensCom Inc. to become one of the first banks in the South to offer wireless banking services.

Superior Federal plans to incorporate wireless access into its current Superior Online Internet banking product to provide convenient anytime, anywhere electronic access to customers' financial information.

Services available through Superior Federal Bank's Superior Online electronic banking include review of account balances, account history, transfer of funds, and bill and loan payment. Additional functions will be added over time as consumers embrace the various functions available through this robust channel.

"Superior Federal recognizes the growing attraction of wireless Internet access as a new remote delivery channel," said C. Stanley Bailey, chairman and chief executive officer for Superior Financial Corp. and Superior Federal Bank. "Wireless banking is a value-added service that we predict will have direct impact on attracting new customers to our bank," added Bailey.

Superior Online customers can benefit from account access via debit cards, personal computers, and wireless Internet-enabled devices such as wireless phones.

San Diego-based SensCom Inc., an emerging leader in providing wireless Internet Hand-Held Banking(SM) solutions to financial institutions, will provide Superior with the gateway services to enable secure wireless banking transactions. SensCom's solution is compatible with wireless network carriers that offer access to wireless Internet-enabled devices such as WAP-compliant wireless phones, personal digital assistants (PDA's), and laptop computers with wireless modems.

"We selected SensCom because of their technology, ASP business model, and the ability to help us understand the marketing potential of this new customer communication channel," said Bailey.

"SensCom is proud to partner with Superior and facilitate one of the first wireless banking implementations in the southeast region," remarked Greg Bjorndahl, SensCom president and COO. "The idea of tying our capabilities to the Superior Online product is innovative positioning, a trademark of the Bank's management team," Bjorndahl added.
