TROY Group Partners With Canon to Bring Bluetooth Printing to Small/Home Office, Mobile Markets; Companies to Demonstrate Future of Printing at COMDEX Fall 2000

Printing technology innovator TROY XCD, a subsidiary of TROY Group Inc. (Nasdaq:TROY) today announced that it is partnering with Canon Business Machines Inc., a subsidiary of Canon Inc., (NYSE: CAJ) and the world's leading supplier of portable personal printers to demonstrate the latest advances in mobile wireless printing using Bluetooth at the upcoming COMDEX Fall 2000 tradeshow, taking place November 13 to 17 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

On display during the event will be solutions incorporating this new wireless technology that will soon be made available to the SOHO ("Small Office/Home Office") and mobile business professional communities at large. These demonstrations will include wireless printing between mobile devices such as laptop PCs and PDAs.

TROY will demonstrate the benefits of Bluetooth by using a laptop computer and PDA to deliver documents wirelessly to a Canon BJC-85, the world's top selling mobile color printer. Exhibit attendees can witness the future of printing "on the fly" as devices wirelessly network with one another and print -- even through walls.

Patrick J. Dirk, CEO of TROY Group noted, "The endorsement of our wireless printing vision by Canon, a recognized leader in the printing industry, is an excellent opportunity to educate SOHO and mobile professionals on the benefits of Bluetooth."

Canon and TROY invite all COMDEX Fall 2000 attendees, including press and media, to visit the joint demonstrations of Bluetooth printing next week at the Las Vegas Convention Center, South Hall. Canon Computer Systems will be demonstrating in booth #L5955. TROY will be exhibiting in booth #L6216.
