WeSync 1.5 Gives Handheld and PC Users Powerful Flexibility in Managing Contacts and Calendars

The latest version of the free, web-based product adds support for color Palm Powered(TM) handhelds, options for managing contacts, wireless sync of contacts, and an improved WeSync Desktop Viewer

WeSync, the leading provider of Internet group synchronization, today announced the release of WeSync 1.5, the latest version of the company's free product.

Highlights include extending the functionality of the Palm(TM) address book, support for color Palm Powered(TM) handheld computers, and a more versatile, easy-to-use WeSync Desktop Viewer.

"WeSync continues to be an outstanding contributor to the Palm Economy through the enhancement of their Palm OS(R) platform solution," said Christy Wyatt, Palm's director of strategic alliance and market development. "The extended address book functionality offers an even more compelling solution for groups of Palm Powered handheld users."

Powerful New Contacts Features

Giving users powerful added flexibility in how they use and organize their address books, the enhanced WeSync contacts application enables them to create and share up to 1,000 different categories and to assign contacts to multiple categories on both their handheld and desktop.

"Response from our beta testers on these new features has been extremely positive," said Pete Grillo, WeSync CEO and President. "Sales teams and other professionals who rely heavily on extensive contact lists, as well as those who want to create and share subsets of existing contacts, really appreciate the greater flexibility in how they manage this high-value information."

Wireless Syncing of Contacts

Another important feature of 1.5 for owners of wirelessly enabled Palm handhelds or modem-equipped handheld computers with wireless service is the ability to wirelessly sync contacts. This ensures mobile professionals' critical calendars and contact information are always current and accessible.

Support for Color Palm Powered Handhelds

In support of Palm OS(R) 3.5, WeSync 1.5 introduces a color display and the options to color code individual calendars and events, to display events from multiple calendars on the Palm Agenda View, and to "mask" private events.

Desktop Viewer Improvements

User-friendly Desktop Viewer improvements include: a Merged Day View, allowing an integrated display of multiple calendars; desktop password protection for handheld users; the ability to `mask' private events and sync them with a handheld; and an improved interface for managing calendars and contacts.
