Xippix, an Image Lifecycle Solutions provider, today announced their support for PDAs, (personal digital assistants), with ImagePump(R) PDA Viewer handheld device version 1.0. ImagePump PDA Viewer will enable handheld device shoppers to view image detail anytime anywhere. Xippix also plans to support other wireless devices in upcoming releases.
"With the tremendous growth rate of handheld device usage the need to provide this version of our ImagePump Viewer was imperative," said Ed Miller, president and CEO of Xippix. "With 1.2 billion mobile data users estimated by the year 2005, our ImagePump PDA Viewer will allow handheld users to zoom, pan and scroll images, enjoy the experience of seeing items in detail and make better purchasing decisions. In addition, the ImagePump PDA Viewer will provide for the routing, approval and annotation of images as part of the image life cycle."
The ImagePump PDA Viewer is built upon the ImagePump Server and is part of Xippix's Image Lifecycle Solutions (ILS) application suite. ILS debuted in September, and includes ImagePump Manager, ImagePump Editor, ImagePump Reviewer and ImagePump CMS (Color Management Solution). These applications offer users a complete solution for the complex demands of the image lifecycle as well as viewing image detail on handheld devices.
