Signia Technologies and ARC Wireless Solutions, Inc. Announce Bluetooth Compact Flash Reference Design

Signia Technologies and ARC Wireless Solutions, Inc. (OTC BB: ARCS), through its Antennas America division, today announced a Compact Flash reference design for Bluetooth(TM) using Antennas America's embedded Bluetooth(TM) antenna and Signia Technologies Bluetooth(TM) module. The reference design is applicable to manufacturing 0 dBm Bluetooth(TM) solutions for Compact Flash. Signia Technologies and Antennas America intend to license the design to customers with the objective of giving them the manufacturing cost competitive products for the Bluetooth(TM) market.

Signia Technologies and Antennas America have focused on making Bluetooth more cost effective and easier for customers to implement in design, manufacturing, and test. The Bluetooth Compact Flash reference design highlights each company's position as a leader in the development of Bluetooth and wireless connectivity solutions.

"Antennas America and Signia Technologies' reference design provides excellent Bluetooth transmission characteristics at a very competitive price. This Compact Flash reference design for Bluetooth will bring Bluetooth functionality to a large segment of the intelligent device market in a very timely manner." Stated Glenn Befort, CEO of ARC Wireless Solutions Inc.

"We believe that our customers will be among the first to provide Windows CE devices with Bluetooth(TM) functionality to the marketplace. Many handheld devices are coming onto the marketplace without networking or connectivity solutions, this solution will help fill that gap." stated Brian Ann, President of Signia Technologies.

Most Bluetooth(TM) products will initially address legacy products including notebooks, desktops, and PDAs. To address these markets, Signia Technologies has been developing a family of products such as the Compact Flash reference and the PCMCIA reference design to help customers/partners bring unique Bluetooth(TM) products to market faster and at a significantly lower cost. These products will enable customers to use Bluetooth(TM) features such as LAN access, dial-up networking, file transfer, data synchronization, and audio all in their existing notebooks.
