Synchrologic Delivers First Complete Solution for Enterprise Management of Palm Devices

iMobile Suite Now Offers a Single Solution for PIM and Email Sync, Basic and Advanced Data Sync, Systems Management, and File and Software Distribution

Synchrologic, the leader in synchronizing Business Data Anywhere, today announced that it has delivered the most comprehensive enterprise solution for managing Palm OS devices. The company added new features to its iMobile Suite product that will let business professionals sync data between their Palm devices and Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Notes servers.

With this latest upgrade, iMobile Suite delivers on Synchrologic's vision of offering a total software infrastructure solution for managing enterprise Palm deployments. By deploying a single solution, enterprise IT organizations are able to lower support costs, quickly move to increase service to end users, and reduce administrative burdens.

iMobile Suite's RealSync Server is being upgraded to enable users to sync their email and personal information management (PIM) data --including address book, calendar, memos, and to-do lists -- between their Palm devices and their company's Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Notes servers. With RealSync Server, users will spend less time with duplicate data entry of PIM information, resulting in greater time-on-task and improved access to key information while on the go.

Unlike other Exchange and Notes sync solutions, iMobile Suite allows system administrators to set default configurations for synchronization behavior and maintain very granular control over how users can change these defaults for their sessions. Additional administrative capabilities include extensive logging and troubleshooting tools, and powerful installation and configuration wizards. User access is simplified with LDAP integration and direct NT authentication.

"Our vision is to allow companies to put in place a single layer of software infrastructure to support all their mobile computing needs. With the addition of Exchange and Notes support to our existing capabilities, we are the first to deliver on that vision for the Palm platform," explains Bill Jones, vice president of product management and marketing. "We leveraged our deep expertise in developing server-based enterprise products in building an Exchange and Notes sync solution with unparalleled administrative flexibility, support, and control."

Availability & Pricing

iMobile Suite is available now, and pricing varies depending on the components purchased. The RealSync Server component is priced at $99 per user for 100 users, and the new Exchange and Notes sync option is $39 per user. Microsoft Exchange sync is available now, and Lotus Notes sync is in beta testing.
