T-Motion Selects Fast Search & Transfer to Power Wireless Portals

Deutsche Telekom subsidiary T-motion is to deploy FAST Mobile Search across Europe, benefiting 26 million wireless users

T-Motion, the mobile Internet subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, and Fast Search & Transfer ASA(TM) (FAST(TM)), a leading developer of search, real-time filter and compression technology, today announced an agreement to integrate FAST's Mobile Search solution into T-Motion's European wireless network. FAST Mobile Search will allow more than 26 million T-Motion customers across Europe to search for WAP, HDML, I-Mode and PDA friendly documents, across an extensive database of over 3 million pages.

T-Motion expects to launch Fast's Mobile Search application early next year with the launch of T-Motion's UK portal, and to then roll it out to T-Motion's other European portals.
