abeama Introduces Mobile Marketing Platform; New Products Enable Companies to Extend their Wireless Reach

abeama today announced its formation as a new company devoted to providing end-to-end mobile marketing solutions. The Silicon Valley-based company provides software tools that enable companies to intelligently manage customer relationships in the mobile world - reaching consumers via phone, PDA, or Web with personalized, geo-targeted, and real-time information.

"By 2005 there will be more than 800 million mobile Internet devices in use worldwide," said Brad Sharek, CEO and co-founder of abeama. "It's not a question of whether or not companies will have a wireless point of contact with their customers, but whether they'll be able to turn this presence into a source of revenue and enhanced customer satisfaction."

abeama allows customers to capitalize on the enormous potential of mobile marketing through a comprehensive set of software tools. Its products provide companies with universal access to consumers via phone, PDA, or Web; campaign management tools for the planning and deployment of real-time marketing communications; user profiling and targeting based on time, location, and other relevant profile data; and data mining, reporting, and analysis capabilities. abeama also delivers full enterprise integration linking promotion management and marketing communications directly to companies' existing CRM, ERP and POS systems.

Later this month abeama will launch a three-month technology trial program in Tampa Bay, Florida. The online business and entertainment guide TampaBayUnWired.com (tbUw.com) is employing abeama's mobile marketing solutions to provide local users with access to its online directories. The test is the first wireless service solely focused on the Tampa Bay market.
