BlueKite.com Selected by Telfort to Enable High-Speed Wireless Internet Access

BlueKite's Bandwidth Optimization Software Becomes an Integral Part of Telfort's GPRS Offering

BlueKite.com(TM), a leading mobile Internet software provider, has been chosen as a supplier to Telfort, a major telecommunications operator in The Netherlands. BlueKite's software will be incorporated into Telfort's GPRS solutions for high-speed wireless Web access.

The contract will allow mobile users to access intranet and Internet applications via Telfort's mobile network at speeds equivalent to or better than 56 kbps fixed-line connections. BlueKite's DataReduxion(TM) technology significantly increases wireless Web browsing speeds, and also maximizes network efficiency by reducing the amount of data transmitted over valuable wireless spectrum.

As the first Dutch operator to demonstrate GPRS on a live network, Telfort is offering the BlueKite-enabled service to business customers who need to access information anytime, anywhere. BlueKite's software overcomes some of the key limitations for mobile Internet access by allowing faster downloads and improved performance.

Jan Wiejak, BlueKite Managing Director Europe, said: "Telfort is a great example of a GSM operator committed to delivering innovative GPRS solutions to its customers, and we are delighted to be associated with this provider. By combining BlueKite's software with Telfort's GPRS services, Telfort customers will enjoy the real benefits of the mobile Internet for the first time. As Telfort has shown, BlueKite is delivering solutions right now, with a firm focus on supporting those GPRS rollouts."

Wiejak continued: "Clearly, as the roll out of the GPRS market gains momentum across Europe during 2001, BlueKite will continue to be at the forefront and develop its software to support the operator community and enhance the wireless Web experience for the user."

Telfort joins a growing list of operators utilizing BlueKite's software platform. Most recently, BlueKite expanded its relationship with BT Cellnet in the UK to provide wireless Web optimization for their GPRS services.
