CenterBeam To Use ThinAirApps' Server Platform To Offer Wireless Access Options

ThinAir Server Enables Wireless Groupware Access for CenterBeam Customers

ThinAirApps, Inc., a pioneer in the development of wireless Internet software applications and tools, announced today that CenterBeam, Inc. has selected the ThinAir Server platform to provide secure, real-time wireless access to corporate data for CenterBeam's outsourced IT solutions. CenterBeam, which has raised $170 million in funding, provides a complete IT infrastructure service to small and mid-sized businesses, as well as branch offices of large enterprises. By hosting ThinAir Server, CenterBeam now offers its customer secure, real-time access to Microsoft Exchange Server(R) from a range of wireless devices.

"CenterBeam is focused on simplifying technology for businesses and helping them thrive in today's economy," said Sheldon Laube, Chairman and CEO of CenterBeam. "Now we're enabling our customers to leverage leading-edge wireless technology to make them as productive and competitive as possible. We chose ThinAir Server because it offers a powerful and easy-to-use application for each wireless device our customers might use as well as its ability to easily integrate it into our hosting environment."

ThinAir Server is a proven platform enabling secure, real-time access to information anytime, anywhere and includes full-featured support for major messaging systems including Microsoft Exchange, Lotus(R) Domino, Novell GroupWise(R), and any POP or IMAP mail server. With the Groupware Access application bundled with ThinAir Server, users get real-time access to their e-mail and other groupware data from any Palm Powered(TM), Pocket PC, RIM(R) or Symbian handheld, or any Internet-ready mobile phone. Specifically, users can fully manage their e-mail, including responding to, forwarding or deleting messages from their inbox or any public or private folder. Accessing their personal or private calendars, users can create, accept and decline meeting requests, and view changes to schedules on the fly. Instead of synching or re-entering address book contacts into their devices, users can rely on their server-side address books and immediately initiate e-mails or phone calls depending on the device being used.

"This partnership further demonstrates how attractive ThinAir technology is to IT infrastructure solution providers," said Stephanie Agresta, director of business development for ThinAirApps. "Solution providers recognize that their customers want and need wireless access to corporate data. The CenterBeam solution is so appealing for its all-inclusive approach to IT services, and we're pleased to provide the wireless technology for it."
