(www.wwc.com), a nationwide high speed mobile wireless Internet services provider, announce the availability of the Merlin(TM) Wireless PC Card Modem for Ricochet(R) 128 kbps with Wireless WebConnect! mobile wireless Internet service. The Merlin for Ricochet is a Type II PC Card that takes advantage of the Ricochet network to provide mobile wireless data access at end-user speeds of 128 kbps and up.

The Merlin for Ricochet connects to Metricom's (Nasdaq:MCOM) high-speed Ricochet network, which offers mobile wireless access to the Internet, corporate intranets, local area networks, email and other online services. The modem has a robust removable antenna enabling maximum network connectivity with the highest mobile wireless data throughput available. The Merlin for Ricochet has a Type II PC Card interface, is compatible with Windows(R) 98/NT/CE/2000/2000ME/Pocket PC and Macintosh(R) laptops.
