WirelessMD and Fujitsu Team Up to Deliver Integrated Mobile Computing Solutions for the Medical Community

WirelessMD, Inc. (WirelessMD) a subsidiary of M2Verticom Corporation and the premiere wireless connectivity application solution provider for the medical community, today announced a joint services agreement with Fujitsu-ICL Systems Inc., a subsidiary of Fujitsu Limited (TSE: 6702), a $50 billion provider of Internet-based information technology solutions for the global marketplace.

The companies also announced that they would market their combined services and products to their respective clients.

Under the terms of the agreement, WirelessMD's customers will have mobile access to patient and medical information using Fujitsu's handset and mobile computing technology. Beginning in the first quarter of 2001, WirelessMD will run on Fujitsu's TeamPad 7600, an ideal device for the healthcare industry where robust mobile computer systems are required. Coupled with Fujitsu's technology, WirelessMD's software application will provide enhanced wireless data access and retrieval capabilities to physicians in the WirelessMD network.

Commenting on the partnership, Gary Coltek, chief executive officer of M2Verticom Corporation stated, "We are always looking for ways that will enhance our product offering, extend our hardware platforms and increase our appeal to the medical community. In a separate announcement, M2Verticom Corporation, the parent company of WirelessMD, reported that it received the first portion of a multi-part investment of an undisclosed amount from Fujitsu. Fujitsu also has the option to acquire an additional 6.5% ownership of M2Verticom for $10 million.
