CompUSA Unveils First Nationwide Wireless Coupon On AvantGo

Retailer Reaches Out to Mobile Device Users With Discount Offer Valid in 224 Stores

AvantGo, Inc., (Nasdaq: AVGO), the leading provider of mobile infrastructure software and services, today announced that CompUSA, Inc., America's Largest Computer Superstore(R), is offering the first nationwide wireless coupon through the AvantGo mobile Internet service.

The digital coupon appears on AvantGo users' handheld devices and can be saved to the device for use in any one of CompUSA's 224 retail stores across the country. Through March 10, AvantGo users can bring in their handheld device to CompUSA and simply show the on-device coupon to the cashier to receive a 10 percent discount on PDA and cell phone accessories.

Rolling out the first nationwide wireless coupon, CompUSA joins a growing number of companies pioneering wireless advertising on the AvantGo service, which delivers interactive content and applications to one of the largest mobile user bases, with more than two million registered users. For companies interested in mobile marketing services, the AvantGo service provides a proven means to reach a targeted demographic of young, affluent tech-savvy professionals and an easy way to extend information to a variety of platforms, including Palm OS and Pocket PC-based handheld devices, as well as Internet-enabled phones. In addition, the AvantGo service can accommodate a variety of marketing efforts including lead generation, special offers, brand awareness, promotions, surveys and other multi-purpose ads.

The AvantGo mobile Internet service provides free interactive and personalized content and applications to people with handheld devices and Internet-enabled phones - anytime, anywhere - wirelessly and off-line. Using a wireless, real-time connection or via desktop synchronization, AvantGo users can access the web directly from their mobile devices or they can select from over 1000 content channels that have been optimized for mobile devices. Channels include news, stock quotes, flight schedules, movie listings, maps, weather and much more from brand-name providers.
