IntelliWhere Debuts Location-Based Services Solutions to Attendees at CTIA Wireless 2001

IntelliWhere(TM), a division of Intergraph Mapping and GIS Solutions (Nasdaq: INGR), will debut its location-based services (LBS) solutions at CTIA Wireless 2001, March 20-22, in Las Vegas. CTIA Wireless is a global event for the wireless, mobile computing, and Internet industries and attracts over 30,000 attendees. IntelliWhere, a software and solutions infrastructure provider focused specifically on the wireless and LBS industries, will demonstrate its IntelliWhere Genie solutions, an LBS framework for workforce automation, B2B, and B2C location-based services in Booth L15.

Launched in December 2000, IntelliWhere has been proactive in demonstrating its location-based solutions at key shows and conferences across the U.S. and Europe. CTIA Wireless attendees can gain first-hand knowledge about IntelliWhere's vision and how its IntelliWhere Genie solutions address their relevant business issues. Target markets for IntelliWhere include wireless and Internet application service providers, systems integrators, telecommunications and utilities companies, and enterprises with mobile workforces and/or mobile customers. IntelliWhere also provides solutions for government, transportation, military, and disaster management.

"The CTIA Wireless exposition provides a focused, high-energy environment for demonstrating our location-based solutions," said Lee Finniear, IntelliWhere's managing director. "Exhibitors and attendees alike are the key visionaries and evangelists for the rapidly growing wireless and LBS markets. With our new, innovative IntelliWhere Genie solutions, we will play a pivotal role in this viable market space and will impact how infrastructure-focused organizations gain maximum benefit from pervasive mobile computing."

Intelligence about where you are

The IntelliWhere Genie solutions enable customers to provide real-time, location-based services and content using an architecture that leverages Intergraph's industry-proven GIS technology, GeoMedia(R), to deliver device and data format independent solutions. These solutions are open, scalable, and proven in large-scale deployed applications.

IntelliWhere Genie lets users deliver and receive intelligent information that is related to a particular location, such as current location, location destination, or complex location analysis. For example, drivers for a distribution company need to find the best delivery routes to avoid traffic situations, road closures, and other barriers to effective service provision, or a consumer requires navigational instructions to assist in their cross-country travel. The access mechanism must be a small, reliable device such as a data and graphics capable phone or a phone-enabled PDA. IntelliWhere's Genie solutions combine wireless messaging, mobile Internet, and full Web-based technologies with location-based services to provide a solution environment to best meet requirements such as this.
