Nextones Composers Launched in the U.S.;

The Ultimate Way to Personalize Your Mobile Phone!

Nextones.com Introduces Pop Music Ring Tones and Graphics For GSM Mobile Phones

Nextones.com announced today the launch of Nextones(TM) Composers, the latest technology designed to allow mobile phone users the ability to download popular music and graphic icons from the internet, to personalize their telephone rings and caller identification graphics. Nextones(TM) Composers is currently available for mobile phones supported by the Global Service Mobile (GSM) platform--one of the fastest growing segments in the wireless communications industry today. Now, for the first time in the United States, GSM mobile phone users will be able to log onto www.nextones.com and download their choice of popular music melodies and unique graphics to personalize the way their mobile phone rings and looks for all incoming calls.

Nextones.com is the only service provider to offer over-the-air (OTA) downloadable ring tones and icons in the United States and the first in the market to offer Value Added Services (VAS) for mobile phones--meaning that accessing the Nextones(TM) Composers service will not require GSM mobile phone users to have additional computer software, wire connections or equipment.

"We were very pleased to introduce our services in December 2000 and are very proud to now be the first independent service provider in the U.S. market to launch an application that will give mobile phone users a more personalized communication experience. We are confident, based upon similar success in Europe of this exciting and fun technology, that Nextones(TM) Composers will become a standard programming feature on mobile telephones in the near future," said Harold Vaca, Vice President for the Miami-based company.

During the official launch period of March and April, users will have free access to an extensive library of music ring tones, from such popular artists as Destiny's Child, Ricky Martin and Brittney Spears, as well as a distinctive and zany collection of graphics such as hearts, cars and movie logos, that will allow mobile phone users to uniquely identify a popular caller's identity. The application's trademarked features, Harmonium and Iconium, will also enable users to compose their own ring tones and graphic icons by simply using their computer's mouse and keyboard. In the months following the launch, users will gain access to the service through a monthly subscription fee.

The concept behind this latest programming feature of customized ring tones and icons was built on the global success of the industry's Short Message Service (SMS), made famous by mobile text messaging and email, and which "embraces people's basic need to share their personally relevant moments with friends and family, instantly and conveniently," stated Vaca. "Customized ring tones and icons are the ultimate way to display and share your personality."

Nextones.com expects to exceed its $50 million revenue projection by 2004, as US mobile communication providers upgrade to the Global Service Mobile (GSM) platform--already adopted in Europe and currently used by 3.5 million mobile phone users in the United States, through service providers like Voicestream, Powertel and Cingular. The GSM platform allows mobile phone users the capability to roam internationally using a single telephone number in nearly 160 countries.

Nextones.com estimates that there will be over 50 million GSM mobile phone users in the United States by 2003 and close to 80 million users by 2005--particularly through the expanded service of other providers like AT&T.

Nextones.com is also launching a highly targeted marketing plan that includes promotions, special events, and celebrity endorsements--such as the newly signed deal with actor Phillip Michael Thomas, whose 1980's hit TV series "Miami Vice" was recently re-syndicated on TNN. With its base operations in Miami, Nextones.com will also soon begin marketing its customizable applications to Latin America.

Nextones.com will work in partnership with Finland's Yomi Vision Ltd (www.yomi.com)--one of the world's leading specialists in computing technologies that has successfully integrated the internet, mobility and new media--to bring its consumers the latest in wireless technology, research and service.
