Timely access to reliable information is at the heart of practicing law. Yet, legal research is often time-consuming and laborious. In an effort to make researching and accessing information more convenient for legal professionals, OmniSky Corporation (Nasdaq:OMNY), the award-winning provider of branded wireless e-mail and Internet services for users of mobile devices, has teamed with West Group, the foremost provider of e-information and solutions to the U.S. legal market, to offer Westlaw(R) legal research tools on the OmniSky service.

Westlaw is the first legal-specific application on the OmniSky wireless e-mail and Internet service. The availability of Westlaw on OmniSky offers attorneys the kind of reliable research tools and real-time Internet and e-mail access necessary to make the most of their time whether they are in a courtroom, client conference room, or on the road. OmniSky provides a variety of Westlaw content, optimized for mobile access:
-- Westlaw Cases: Users can retrieve cases simply by entering the citation
and viewing its headnotes and synopsis. An e-mail link to the full text of a
case can be sent to any e-mail address.
-- KeyCite(R): A powerful citation service, users simply select the type of
information needed: full history, negative
history, or case citations. Users can also e-mail a link to the full KeyCite
result to any e-mail address.
-- West Legal Directory(R): Users have access to over one million attorney
profiles in the West Legal Directory where they can retrieve an attorney profile
or e-mail the profile to any e-mail address.

Westlaw on the OmniSky service offers legal professionals more actionable

OmniSky users receive access to Westlaw as part of their OmniSky subscription. The West Legal Directory is free to OmniSky users. Other Westlaw services are subject to fees charged by Westlaw and require users to input their Westlaw password.
OmniSky customers using Palm and Handspring devices automatically receive the newest content channels whenever they use the HotSync function while their PCs are connected to the Internet. In the near future, PocketPC users will be able to receive the newest content by downloading it from the OmniSky website.
