OmniSky Announces Availability of Corporate E-mail Solution for Award-Winning Wireless E-mail and Internet Service

Os CorporateLink Offers Mobile Professionals Secure Wireless Access to E-mail Behind the Corporate Firewall

OmniSky Corporation (Nasdaq:OMNY), the award-winning provider of branded wireless e-mail and Internet services for users of mobile devices, today announced availability of its Os CorporateLink(TM) software, which makes it easy for mobile professionals to wirelessly access their corporate e-mail on the go. Available free of charge and easy to install, Os CorporateLink software running on a Windows-based PC with the Microsoft Outlook e-mail application, allows OmniSky subscribers to use their mobile device to remotely and securely access corporate e-mail as if those communications were being conducted from their desktop PC.

"Mobile professionals tell us that seamless, secure access to corporate e-mail is one of the most important requirements of a wireless service," said Kristine Stebbins, OmniSky's vice president of marketing. "With Os CorporateLink, these users have a hassle-free solution -- that they can implement on their own -- for secure access to corporate e-mail behind the firewall."

Availability of Os CorporateLink is part of OmniSky's strategy to offer a wide range of e-mail solutions that meet the needs of individuals and enterprises. For enterprises, OmniSky offers a server-based corporate e-mail solution through its partnership with Wireless Knowledge, Inc., and plans to make additional solutions available in 2001.

With Os CorporateLink, all e-mail messages received and sent remain in the Microsoft Outlook InBox and Outbox so the mobile professional has a complete archive of e-mail transactions. E-mail messages sent wirelessly from the mobile device look just as if they were sent from the PC in the office, and e-mail messages received on the mobile device look just as they do on the PC. Os CorporateLink also lets OmniSky subscribers use the Microsoft Outlook Filter Wizard to selectively redirect corporate e-mail, so critical e-mail messages can be viewed on the mobile device while other e-mail waits to be viewed when the user returns to the office.

Using Os CorporateLink, OmniSky subscribers also can wirelessly access their Microsoft Outlook calendar and contact information. For Os CorporateLink to redirect corporate e-mail, and calendar and contact information from the desktop PC to the handheld, the desktop PC in the corporate office must be turned on and connected to the Internet.

In addition to wirelessly accessing corporate e-mail, OmniSky subscribers can access up to five POP3 e-mail accounts using their mobile device.
