Matsushita Chooses RSA BSAFE® Encryption to Help Secure i-mode Users' Communications

Leading Wireless Phone Supplier Uses RSA BSAFE SSL

RSA Security Inc. (NASDAQ: RSAS), the most trusted name in e-security™, today announced that Matsushita, one of the leading suppliers of wireless phones that support the NTT DoCoMo i-mode service in Japan, has signed encryption licenses for RSA BSAFE® SSL encryption software to help secure their users' communications with Internet applications.

In just two years, NTT DoCoMo has signed up more than 20 million subscribers to its i-mode Internet-access service in Japan. With an i-mode phone, users can easily access online services, including banking, restaurant reservations, ticket reservations and email.
