NTT DoCoMo, Inc., SAP AG and SAP Japan Co., Ltd. today announced that they have agreed to conduct a series of feasibility studies regarding the joint development of mobile business solutions.
They will be based on the two companies' technologies and extensive expertise in this field. SAP is the world's leading provider of e-business solutions. NTT DoCoMo is the leading Japanese mobile telecommunication operator.
According to a memorandum of understanding signed today, NTT DoCoMo and SAP will conduct feasibility studies together to develop systems and services that will further extend the mobile capabilities of SAP e-business solutions incorporating NTT DoCoMo technology. In addition NTT DoCoMo and SAP will explore the possibilities to jointly market and deploy the solutions from Japan to the global market. As a first step, the companies plan to target their existing customers in their respective markets.
