Audible.com Demonstrates Consumer and Enterprise Spoken Audio Services On Microsoft Mobile Experience Tour

Audible, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADBL), the leading provider of Internet-delivered spoken audio (www.audible.com(R)) for computer-based listening or mobile playback on AudibleReady(TM) PC-based portable digital audio players, announced today the company's participation as a Platinum Sponsor of the Microsoft Mobile Experience Tour.

Audible will demonstrate wireless audio downloads and other enterprise digital audio services on the Tour. The AudibleWireless(TM) solution enables corporations to wirelessly deliver mission-critical audio content to mobile employees and customers using Pocket PCs. Digital audio for the AudibleWireless platform can include sales updates, proprietary corporate research, product overviews, and management bulletins. Additional content consists of premium audio titles such as audiobooks and audio versions of leading newspapers and magazines.

"Audible.com has really taken advantage of the Pocket PC platform's versatility by making it possible for customers to listen to audiobooks, speeches and lectures, public radio programs and even corporate training on-the-go," said Phil Holden, director of marketing for the Mobile Devices Division at Microsoft Corp. "Audible.com is a real value-add to our customers because it enables true access to the information of their choice while away from the office or home."

"The Pocket PC's support of Audible's content has always been a major plus for our customers, who use the device for traditional PDA activities and for listening to audiobooks and audio periodicals," stated Matthew Fine, senior vice president for Enterprise Sales at Audible, Inc. "These same listeners are often corporate decision makers who want to leverage Pocket PC's AudibleReady(TM) platform and deliver secure audio content to employees and clients as part of a larger sales force automation initiative. Our audio delivery services and technology can now be extended to wireless networks, meaning short audio messages can reach Pocket PCs equipped for wireless data access. Although we're already executing for some large clients, the Mobile Experience Tour is a great way to create awareness for Audible and mobile audio content as an entertainment and productivity tool."

Audible's Internet audio service for individual Pocket PC owners gives them the ability to listen to their favorite audiobooks or audio editions of leading newspapers and magazines while they are behind the wheel, at the gym or any place where they can't read but would like to. Audible.com features over 20,000 audiobook titles from leading publishers as well as audio periodicals such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, San Jose Mercury News, Los Angeles Times, The Industry Standard, Slate and many others. There are also speeches, lectures, language learning and on-demand radio programs including Marketplace, All Things Considered, Car Talk, Fresh Air and This American Life. All of the programs at audible.com are currently available for PC-based playback and on-the-go listening using AudibleReady(TM) Pocket PCs from Casio, Compaq and Hewlett-Packard.
