Diversinet Secures Circata's Wireless Gateway

New Partnership Provides Enterprises With a Simple and Secure Connection from Any Application to Any Wireless Web-Enabled Device

Diversinet Corp. (Nasdaq:DVNT), a leading provider of m-commerce security infrastructure solutions, and Circata, a wireless infrastructure enabler, announced today that they have entered into a strategic license agreement to integrate Diversinet's security technology within Circata's Exellar(TM) Wireless Server.

Under the terms of the agreement, Circata will integrate Diversinet's Passport Certificate Server(R) security technology within the Exellar(TM) product, thereby enhancing the security of the company's wireless server technology and easing the road to deployment for their customers. The two companies have also agreed to jointly market each other's products and services and promote Diversinet's advanced PKI security technology and related services to Circata's customer base.

As the wireless market develops, wireless vendors must work together to ease the process of implementing secure wireless applications. The Diversinet-Circata agreement relieves the complexity of wireless implementation and security by jointly combining two key elements of a wireless implementation: the ability for legacy applications to "talk" with wireless devices and the ability to provide the advanced security demanded in high-value wireless applications.

The Exellar(TM) Wireless Server supports a total wireless solution to connect any wireless web-enabled device - including WAP phones, smart phones, PDAs, Windows CE handheld computers and 2 way-pagers -to any application or data source. Designed as a wireless access gateway, the Exellar(TM) connects devices to applications and content regardless of the type of device or its wireless network protocol, operating platform, carrier bandwidth, screen size, or resolution.

The integration of Diversinet's advanced wireless security technology into Circata's Exellar wireless gateway provides Circata customers with a secure, uncomplicated middleware solution. Customers do not have to worry about the time or costs associated with implementing security into their existing infrastructures as it is already built in, therefore giving them a time-to-market and cost advantage over the competition.

"This agreement will greatly benefit our customers as Diversinet's advanced security features will already be integrated and tested into our middleware product," said Matt Mahmood, founder and Chief Operating Officer of Circata.

"Circata's technology model is much like Diversinet's. They offer a highly scalable, flexible product that can be customized to the operating platform, application interface, and mobile device needs of the customer," said Ed Karthaus, Vice President of Sales for Diversinet. "Circata helps enterprises affordably enter into the wireless world by accommodating their legacy hardware and software."
