Aether Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:AETH), a leading provider of wireless data products and services announced today that Intermec Technologies Corp., a UNOVA Inc. (NYSE:UNA) subsidiary, will adopt Aether Fusion(TM) to wirelessly extend Intermec's suite of supply chain information systems.
Aether Fusion, Aether's single-source foundation for wireless access to information and applications, will provide wireless connectivity to Intermec's full logistics solution, i-gistics(TM) and field service solution, ArciTech(TM), at all points of customer contact including sales, delivery, and service.
Data management systems by Intermec include handheld, vehicle-mounted and stationary computer networking terminals tailored to specific applications and host environments. Intermec serves thousands of companies worldwide, including 75 percent of Fortune 500 companies and 60 percent of the Fortune 100.
Intermec's complete logistics and field service solutions address the complex automation needs and requirements of today's mobile workforce.
