MapInfo Corporation (Nasdaq: MAPS) today announced it will feature its cutting-edge technology, MapInfo(R) MapXtend(TM) and MapInfo(R) MapInsight(TM), in an innovative demonstration for commercial real estate brokers to query property listings using demographic and spatial data while in the field. MapInfo will showcase this solution at ICSC (booth no.465).
The application provides brokers with a unique and convenient way to view property listings while on the road. The broker can easily access the corporate database via a wireless handheld device, either a Palm device or a Windows CE device, and view potential sites using a combination of geographic, demographic and standard real estate queries. The result lets brokers and agents target properties based on proximity to key locations such as restaurants, malls and schools, as well as critical demographic information such as median income and population density. The ability to link to MapInfo's online driving directions, miDirections(TM), will also be featured.
