Metricom, Inc. (Nasdaq:MCOM), a leading high-speed wireless data services company, today is hosting informational Ricochet(R) seminars on "Wireless Solutions for the Enterprise" with several of its business partners and customers. The two seminars are designed to demonstrate the value of Ricochet high-speed mobile access to enterprise sales and IS/IT departments.
The first session, "Mobilizing Your Sales Force and Turning Downtime into Productive Time," will focus on the flexibility mobile wireless access offers and how it can increase efficiency, optimize sales force automation, and enable enterprise sales teams to exceed sales targets. Metricom Senior Vice President of sales John Wernke will evaluate the wireless industry today and examine the options available to help enterprise sales teams stay ahead of their competitors. Mr. Wernke will be followed by representatives from Yahoo! Inc.(R), Salesforce.com(R), and Sierra Wireless(R) who will testify to the benefits Ricochet has brought to their enterprise sales professionals.
The second session, "Supporting and Profiting from a Mobilized Work Force," will address how enterprise IS/IT departments can support and lead corporate wireless data initiatives aimed at meeting revenue goals. Metricom Vice President of application engineering Chad Sakac will discuss how corporate IS/IT departments can mobilize their work forces with wireless solutions that are simple to use, implement, and manage. Representatives from Compaq(R), Citrix(R), and Novatel(TM) Wireless will offer their own insights on how Ricochet has helped their companies mobilize workers and increase productivity.
Additionally, all invited attendees will receive a free Ricochet PC card modem and 30 days of free 128 kbps Ricochet wireless Internet access. Each session will conclude with a demonstration showcasing the simple installation of Ricochet, enabling attendees to begin using Ricochet on their laptops or handheld devices immediately at the seminar.
