OmniSky and SkyGo Partner to Help Content Providers Take Advantage of Wireless Opportunity

Wireless Applications and Services Leader and Mobile Advertising Pioneer Join Forces To Create Value-Added Services for Publishers

SkyGo, Inc., the authority on wireless marketing, and OmniSky Corporation (Nasdaq:OMNY), a leading global provider of award-winning wireless applications and services, today announced an alliance to provide content publishers with targeted wireless advertising programs that aim to expand these providers' addressable markets.

Under the terms of the agreement, OmniSky will refer its content partners to wireless marketing services from SkyGo. As an OmniSky preferred provider, SkyGo offers technology, media and consulting to those publishers who would like to enhance their wireless offerings by delivering advertising campaigns that are relevant and compelling to mobile consumers.

"Through this partnership, OmniSky will be able to help our content partners deliver wireless advertising that adds value to a consumer's wireless experience and generates revenues, both for content providers and for OmniSky," said Kristine Stebbins, vice president of marketing, OmniSky. "As a preferred marketing provider, SkyGo enables us to offer a one-stop wireless advertising solution and still remain focused on delivering the best overall wireless experience to our users."

As part of the alliance, SkyGo will integrate OmniSky's Os OneTap technology into advertisements it creates in order to provide users the ability to, in a single tap, save selected advertising information -- such as addresses and event details -- to the desired application on their handheld. This functionality gives advertisers the ability to deliver marketing messages in a way that maximizes the unique characteristics of the wireless medium. Additionally, Os OneTap generates multiple advertising impressions by creating persistent exposure on the user's device, while still allowing the user to choose which advertising messages to save based on personal relevance.

"Since inception, OmniSky's service offerings have been hinged upon providing a rich experience for the user," said Paul Johnson, vice president of business development for SkyGo. "Together, we will build upon this foundation by providing consumers with relevant, timely information, and at the same time, offer content providers a new revenue opportunity and the chance to truly maximize this promising medium."

SkyGo recently launched its flagship product -- SkyGo MAP(TM) --the only platform that creates, delivers, tracks and reports on wireless advertising, transactions and rewards programs. Whether a company is interested in contextual ads within content; targeted, permission-based alerts; or a browse-able ad shopping channel, SkyGo MAP can deliver an effective campaign to any mobile device. Among the advertisers and publishers that look to SkyGo for wireless solutions are: Procter & Gamble, GM, ESPN.com and Visa.

SkyGo also recently completed a comprehensive consumer market study to test the effectiveness of wireless advertising. Findings from this study suggest that consumers will welcome targeted advertisements on mobile devices when done correctly and with their needs in mind.
