OmniSky Partners With UPS to Offer Real-Time Mobile Shipping and Tracking Tools to OmniSky Customers

OmniSky Corporation (Nasdaq:OMNY), an innovative provider of award-winning wireless applications and services, today announced that it has partnered with UPS, the world's largest express carrier and package delivery company, to provide wireless shipping solutions to OmniSky users.

UPS is extending its wireless solutions to the OmniSky service, allowing mobile customers to track packages, find the nearest UPS drop-off location, calculate the cost of a shipment, and find out how long their package will be in transit using different UPS services. UPS is the first package delivery company to be added to the OmniSky service.

"Our partnership with UPS is an important part of OmniSky's strategy to provide actionable business tools to mobile professionals," said Kristine Stebbins, OmniSky's vice president of marketing. "The addition of UPS shipping solutions to our existing business services such as eFax and TelePost Web-based teleconferencing, gives OmniSky users practical applications that turn their wireless device into an action-oriented productivity tool."

"Wireless phones and other mobile digital devices are replacing PCs as the preferred mode of access to the Internet," said Robert Conner, UPS director of interactive marketing. "UPS wireless solutions enable our customers to access shipping information anytime, anywhere. Providing our services through innovative companies like OmniSky offers a broad range of mobile customers easy-to-use, convenient access to UPS tools and information."

Registering for a UPS account is straightforward and free; users simply select a User ID and Password. OmniSky subscribers can register for a UPS account directly on their handheld or on the UPS Web site (www.ups.com/wireless).

The UPS application is accessible from the Business Solutions, Reference and Shopping channels on the OmniSky service. This new offering is available immediately to OmniSky customers using Palm and Handspring handhelds; access to the UPS application will be available to Compaq iPAQ and HP Jornada users in the near future.
