OmniSky to Introduce Wireless E-Mail and Internet Service for the Casio E-125 Cassiopeia

OmniSky Continues Momentum on Pocket PC Platform with Beta Program on the E-125 Cassiopeia and Enfora's PocketSpider

OmniSky Corporation (Nasdaq:OMNY), the innovative provider of award-winning wireless applications and services, today continued its momentum on Pocket PC devices with the announcement of a beta program for the Casio E-125 Cassiopeia and Enfora's PocketSpider.

The OmniSky service will provide one of the richest and most complete content offerings available from a wireless service for the Pocket PC platform because of its support of a wide variety of content protocols, including PQAs (Palm Query Applications), Mobile Favorites, and other HTML content. The company plans to make its service widely available for the Cassiopeia Pocket PC in summer of 2001. OmniSky expects to support additional Casio devices in the future.

"OmniSky's expansion to the E-125 Cassiopeia further demonstrates the company's strong support for the Pocket PC platform and the dynamic user experience that it allows," said Patrick McVeigh, chairman and CEO for OmniSky. "We strive to deliver the best-possible experience across multiple devices and platforms, while maximizing the advantages and capabilities of each platform."

Taking advantage of the processing power and easy portability of the E-125 Cassiopeia, users can access six e-mail accounts, including POP3 and Microsoft Outlook e-mail behind the firewall, with proprietary compression for faster e-mail download speeds. Used in conjunction with Enfora's PocketSpider modem, the OmniSky wireless service installs in just minutes, and offers a wide selection of Web sites optimized for Pocket PC. Further, users can deploy the familiar Pocket IE browser to easily surf to practically any Web site, including rich media and Flash sites, and they can easily save addresses, directions and other Web information directly to calendar, contacts or notes.

"The OmniSky service on the E-125 Cassiopeia is a powerful tool for mobile professionals," said Todd Weissman, vice president of Casio's Mobile Information Products Division. "It provides incredibly convenient wireless access to e-mail and the Web, and looks fantastic in Cassiopeia's brilliant color."

Added Mark Weinzierl, president and CEO of Enfora, "We're delighted that OmniSky will be offering its award-winning wireless service on our new PocketSpider modem, the first wireless IP (CDPD) modem designed exclusively for a compact Flash slot."

"The combination of OmniSky's service on the E-125 Cassiopeia means Pocket PC users can be mobile, gaining secure, consistent and easy-to-use access to the corporate applications they need," said Rogers Weed, general manager of the Mobile Devices Division at Microsoft Corp. "Because the Pocket PC platform offers the power to perform operations such as accessing the Internet in full color and reading Word and Excel attachments in e-mail, users can be truly productive wherever they are."
