QUALCOMM Signs CDMA Modem Card License Agreement with Teleion Wireless

QUALCOMM Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), pioneer and world leader of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) digital wireless technology, today announced that it has entered into a CDMA modem card license agreement with Teleion Wireless, Inc. Under the terms of the royalty-bearing agreement, QUALCOMM has granted Teleion Wireless a worldwide license under QUALCOMM's CDMA technology and patents to design and market innovative solutions for cdmaOne(TM) and CDMA2000 1x/1xEV applications. Teleion Wireless will pay QUALCOMM ongoing royalties at the same rates for second and third-generation equipment, irrespective of the licensed CDMA standard implemented.
