Vindigo's Location-Based Software to Ship With New Palm m100 and m500 Series Handheld Computers

Popular Application Gives Mobile Users Access to Location-Based Information

Vindigo, the market leading developer of personal navigation applications for mobile devices, today announced that beginning this summer its flagship consumer application will be shipped with all Palm(TM) m100 series and m500 series handheld computers. Vindigo is currently available as a free download for Palm Powered(TM) handhelds at the Vindigo Web site (www.vindigo.com) and will be available "in-box" in stores across the U.S. and the U.K.

Vindigo's proprietary technology platform enables leading content publishers including New York Times Digital, Tribune Interactive, Cox Interactive Media, Washingtonpost - Newsweek Interactive, and Zagat Survey to deliver their location-based information to mobile device users. The Vindigo application that will be shipped with Palm handhelds will allow users to receive original content and in-depth information about things to do and places to go in a city. With more than 450,000 registered users in 20 major cities, Vindigo is one of the most popular applications for Palm Powered handhelds. Palm, Inc.'s inclusion of Vindigo with its newest products will make it even easier for consumers to get Vindigo and begin taking advantage of its powerful functionality.

"Vindigo is already the most popular platform for publishing location-based information to Palm handhelds," said Jason Devitt, chief executive officer for Vindigo. "Our agreement with Palm to bundle Vindigo with its new m100 and m500 series computers confirms the value that our application brings to the Palm platform, and enables us to deliver a much larger audience to our publishing partners."
