Wireless Management for HP OpenView provides a server-based solution for managing personal digital assistants (PDAs), mobile phones and interactive pagers. Using the same system that manages the IT infrastructure, current HP OpenView users can now also manage mobile and wireless devices.
Powered by Aether Fusion, Aether's new modular technology foundation, ScoutIT is the management component of Aether's family of software products and is the first handheld device management solution to integrate with HP OpenView.
Wireless Management for HP OpenView provides a single point of control for administrators, allowing them to view all device information; create and manage group and user profiles; manage all batch events; and view available conduits directly from the HP OpenView console.
Additional features include: support for all devices including Palm, WinCE, and PocketPC; ability to update devices via wireline or wireless methods; backup and restoration of corporate information; and Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), which enables uniform management for any networked device. .
