C I Host Adds Complete Wireless Email Capability for All Its Clients

All Domain Names Now Have Feature to Help Businesses be More Productive Through Ability to Access Email and Company Contact Information From Wireless Devices

C I Host has added the latest Internet tool -- a comprehensive wireless email service called WAP:Mail -- to its 100,000 clients at no extra charge, enabling them to be increasingly competitive in the rapidly changing world of e-commerce.

"Rather than having to hunt for a place where they can connect their laptop computer to the Internet, our clients and their employees can now send and receive email and access contact information right from their cell phones or other wireless devices," said Christopher Faulkner, President and CEO of C I Host.

"This is all about saving time and money and being productive," Faulkner said. "And we are bringing this to our clients without nickel-and-diming them to death. We are committed to providing the best in Internet tools in packages that any business can afford."

C I Host has been expanding its wireless capabilities throughout 2001. The first phase -- a wireless network status page -- went up in late April. That was followed in mid-May by a wireless version of the complete Web site, one of the first e-commerce sites that is wireless from start to finish.

Since C I Host has long been an industry leader in allowing clients to do practically everything concerned with their site online, adding a comprehensive wireless email package takes them light years ahead of the competition.

With the wireless Web site, potential clients can surf C I Host's products and prices, order a Web-hosting service and have their login emailed back to their cell phone within 30 seconds. Resellers can send an order for a new account and have the entire procedure completed immediately. Current clients can determine the network status, check an order, or open a trouble ticket.

C I Host first offered full support for Wireless Application Protocol/Wireless Markup Language (WAP/WML) to all of its clients six months ago, becoming one of the first major Web hosting providers to offer this feature as a standard feature at no extra cost. WAP is an open, global specification that lets mobile users with wireless devices access the Internet and check email via handheld computers, cell phones, pagers and other wireless devices.

"As success in e-commerce becomes increasingly dependent on instant access to data and the 24-7 ability to react to fast-moving developments, the wireless Internet will grow in importance," Faulkner said. "We want our clients to be completely prepared and able to stay competitive."

C I Host is the fastest-growing leader in e-business solutions and the Web hosting industry, Its growth is surpassing 200 percent a year and it signed up its 100,000th client on May 20, 2001.
