iAnywhere Solutions Licenses Mobile Automation's Mobile Device Management Software

New Combination Increases Productivity, Brings Down Cost of Ownership for Mobile Technology

Mobile Automation Inc., a leading provider of management solutions for mobile computing devices, Monday announced that iAnywhere Solutions, the mobile and wireless subsidiary of Sybase Inc. (NYSE:SY), has agreed to license its MA2000 mobile device management technology.

Mobile Automation's MA2000 product is designed to facilitate the management of enterprise applications on a variety of devices, including laptops, PalmOS, and PocketPC handhelds -- thereby improving organizational productivity and reducing the costs of mobile workforce IT support.

"The decision by iAnywhere Solutions to select our MA2000 technology and to have it become a key component of the iAnywhere product suite, was significant for a couple of reasons," said Douglas Neal, president and chief executive officer of Mobile Automation.

"First, the iAnywhere team evaluated all available products that could potentially meet their requirements, and chose MA2000 over all the rest. Second, the global presence and market position of iAnywhere Solutions will significantly increase the rate at which MA2000 technology is adopted. We are absolutely thrilled to be working with such a dynamic and professional organization."

"Mobile Automation's mobile device management capabilities enable businesses to spend less time distributing software updates and more time using the applications in the field," said Rob Veitch, director of business development at iAnywhere Solutions.

"We think that iAnywhere Solutions' customers will find that the technology is of real value, particularly to IT departments, making it easier and less expensive to update and maintain business applications."
