SAP to Make SAPPHIRE 2001 Orlando Largest Wireless-Enabled E-Business Event

Conference Attendees to Receive Wireless PDAs Free of Charge

Presentations to Focus on SCM, CRM, Marketplaces, Product Life Cycle Management, Portals

SAP AG (NYSE:SAP) today announced it will give Palm(TM) VIIx wireless handheld computers at no cost to attendees of the 13th annual SAP Americas e-business conference, effectively making SAPPHIRE(R) 2001 Orlando the largest wireless-enabled, company-sponsored e-business conference in the world.

SAP also unveiled a strong program of relevant e-business content for attendees, including more than 50 customer presentations that outline how technology solutions are driving business value, focusing on product life cycle management (PLM), customer relationship management (CRM), supply chain management (SCM), e-marketplaces and private exchanges, and business portals. The event will be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., June 12-15, 2001.

The handheld devices will include Web-linked data relevant to SAPPHIRE delegates, allowing participation in live demonstrations as well as providing continuous updates to event schedules for keynotes and customer and partner presentations. The Palm VIIx devices also will offer users 30 days of Palm.Net(R) service, providing them with real-time access to program content as well as Palm.Net e-mail, messaging and the World Wide Web.

Within the exposition area, SAP, as well as Compaq Computer Corp., Palm and other SAP partners, will demonstrate mySAP(TM) Mobile Business applications, and how wireless personal digital assistant (PDA) technology can be used to access enterprise functionality and information for a variety of shop floor, warehouse inventory control, mobile service, management and field sales scenarios -- driving new levels of efficiency and helping improve customer service.

The largest company-sponsored e-business event in the world, SAPPHIRE Orlando will showcase e-business topics, unveiling new technology strategies and new global customer and partner projects. In keynotes, SAP AG co-chairmen Hasso Plattner and Henning Kagermann will present the company's vision and solutions for the new, new economy, demonstrating how a robust and thriving SAP enables businesses to gain greater benefits from their software investments.

Attendees will have the opportunity to observe SAP customers outlining the business benefits they already achieve with their technology solutions. Companies presenting will include Bristol-Myers Squibb, Coca-Cola Co., Compaq, Deutsche Bank, Dow Corning, Flour Daniel, IBM Corp., Intel Corp., Kimberly-Clark, Kodak, Molex, Panasonic, Philip Morris and World Bank. In addition, hundreds of software companies, implementation firms and other SAP partners will showcase their services and solutions in the exposition center.
