Sierra Wireless Continues To Offer Mobile Professionals Wireless Access For Their Handheld Devices

Sierra Wireless (NASDAQ:SWIR)(TSE:SW.) today announced commercial availability of the Sierra Wireless AirPath(TM) 300 wireless adapter which enables wireless data access for the Handspring(TM) Visor(TM) handheld computer.

The solution will offer mobile users flexibility and a variety of wireless network options on their handheld computer or personal digital assistant (PDA) through Cellular Digital Packet Data networks (CDPD).

The Handspring Visor is an expandable handheld computer based on the popular Palm operating system and features the Springboard(TM) expansion slot on the back of the unit. The Sierra Wireless AirPath 300 Springboard module conveniently slides into the back of the Handspring Visor and will provide mobile professionals reliable, plug-and-play wireless access to enterprise networks, corporate applications, email, and the Internet.
