Wavecom SA (Nasdaq:WVCM; Nouveau Marche:7306), a leading developer of digital wireless standard modules (WISMO(TM)), today announced that the wireless communication specialist REALVision Technology Limited has chosen Wavecom's WISMO technology for CarpeDiem V, its smart GSM communicator for Palm(TM) V series handheld computers. An initial order has already been placed with Fargo Services (H. K.) Limited, Wavecom's reseller in Hong Kong.
The CarpeDiem V GSM Communicator is a wireless communication accessory designed for Palm(TM) V series handhelds. It snaps onto the handheld computer to form an integrated solution for wireless transmission of voice and data over the GSM 900/1800 network. Thanks to the WISMO2C module, CarpeDiem V provides users with voice capability as well as Internet connectivity, email, web-clipping and SMS without having to connect through a standard wireline or mobile telephone.

The WISMO2C dual-band module is a fully integrated product providing all GSM Phase 2+ functionalities. It has been designed for applications where space is at a premium.
