Cingular Wireless and Google to Provide Mobile Access to More Than 1.3 Billion Web Pages

Cingular Customers Can Now Search and Browse With the World's Largest Search Engine

Google Inc., developer of the award-winning Google search engine, today announced that Cingular Wireless customers now have direct access to Google's easy-to-use search engine. Cingular users can now search and browse the web for the information they need while on the go.

Accessible through the Cingular My Wireless Window portal, Google is the largest search engine on the World Wide Web, providing access to more than 1.3 billion Internet web pages, and 2.2 million WAP-ready web pages. Google's advanced software automatically converts HTML web pages on the fly into a format optimized for WAP phones. Cingular's wireless portal, branded My Wireless Window, features web-wide search, calendar, shopping, e-mail, address book and instant messaging.

"Google offers the best search experience on the Internet through a powerful combination of speed, ease-of-use, and relevancy of results," said Sergey Brin, Google's president and co-founder. "With Google, Cingular customers can now utilize their mobile phones to access the vast amount of information on the Internet."

Today's announcement represents another significant wireless customer win for Google, which recently announced mobile partnerships with Sprint PCS, Handspring, Vodafone and Yahoo!. Google is committed to providing users of any Internet-connected device or PC the best search experience on the World Wide Web, and offers its award-winning search engine to users of all major wireless platforms, including WAP and i-mode phones and Palm handheld PCs.
