DiskOnChip Contributes to Ruggedness, Reliability, Efficiency and Small Size of the Acknowledger(TM) CE Product Line

M-Systems (Nasdaq:FLSH), a leader in flash disk data storage products, today announced that Wireless Links has selected DiskOnChip(R) as the local data storage solution for its Acknowledger(TM) CE mobile data terminal product line.

Acknowledger CE, a family of fully integrated, hand-held mobile data terminals, is utilizing DiskOnChip for storage of its Windows CE operating system, applications and user data. Wireless Links' products address mobile dispatch and communications needs, from simple e-mail to comprehensive courier, trucking or service applications.

"M-Systems' DiskOnChip assisted us in our goal to make mobile data applications simple, rugged and affordable," said Joe Shayovitch, president of Wireless Links. "With DiskOnChip, our customers don't need to be concerned with how their data is being stored. It just works -- dependably, quietly and without draining the battery. DiskOnChip also contributes to the Acknowledger CE's small size and offers the flexibility to easily upgrade from 8 to 144 megabytes of storage capacity."

With M-Systems' DiskOnChip inside, Acknowledger CE is able to operate in extreme conditions, withstanding vibration, shock and drops as high as 1 meter (3.2 feet). It measures only 172mm long by 95mm wide by 50mm high and weighs about 400 grams (1 pound).

"We are very pleased to be part of this advanced mobile terminal from Wireless Links," said Tamir Galili, vice president of worldwide sales, M-Systems. "The Acknowledger CE is an impressive application, loaded with a rich list of features perfect for managing fleets, couriers and enabling wireless communications."
