Pico Communications Inc., a provider of simplified personal networking solutions for Bluetooth devices and an associate member of Bluetooth SIG, today announced an alliance with Palm Inc. to allow mobile professionals to stay securely connected to their corporate Local Area Network (LAN) and the Internet at work, on the road, and in the home with Pico's PicoBlue(TM) Internet Access Point and any Bluetooth-enabled Palm(TM) handheld computer.

The PicoBlue(TM) Internet Access Point is a complete Bluetooth access point with integrated servers and networking features required for IP enterprise networking over Ethernet. PicoBlue(TM) was the first Class One point-to-multipoint access point to achieve 1.1 certification from the Bluetooth Qualification Body in June 2001. It can manage up to seven simultaneous links, allowing seven users to share access to the Internet at one time.
