Luxul Announces Availability of the Modular LUXcomm Wireless Communication System for Internet Service Providers and Campus Wireless LANs

Luxul Corp. today announced commercial availability of the new modular LUXcomm(TM) wireless communication system.

LUXcomm is an integrated transceiver and tower ideal for Internet Service Providers (ISPs) seeking to offer wireless broadband Internet access to their subscribers, as well as for organizations seeking to provide employees or students with campus-wide wireless access to their local area networks (LANs). Luxul has successfully field-tested and implemented the LUXcomm system with several ISPs nationwide.

"LUXcomm is a revolutionary wireless broadband system with the capability to penetrate light structures and foliage, thus mitigating the need for line-of-sight between the transceiver and the user," said Robert Ycmat, senior vice president of sales and marketing. "The LUXcomm system operates in poor weather conditions as well as fair, providing the reliability of wired-line communications."

Luxul's LUXcomm system provides low-cost broadband wireless coverage for fixed and mobile users over 10 to 15 square miles. LUXcomm users can achieve upload and download speeds of up to 5 Mbps, although typical speeds are 1 to 2 Mbps. The performance of the LUXcomm system exceeds DSL, ISDN, cable and T1 at a fraction of the cost for deployment and operation.

The LUXcomm system is immediately available for around $21,000 to $25,000 depending upon configuration. It complements Luxul's other product lines; LUXspan(TM) (wireless point-to-point connections), LUXnet(TM) (intra-office wireless LAN access) and LUXlink(TM) antennas. All Luxul equipment utilizes LUXwave(TM) circular polarization for superior coverage and penetration.

Kenneth Bentley, president and chief executive officer of Luxul, stated, "Luxul products have been extremely well-received by networking equipment vendors, ISPs and enterprise customers. Luxul posted record revenue in August and demand continues to grow. We are excited to launch the new LUXcomm system and believe it will be very successful."
